Marin County.  The reason they built the Golden Gate Bridge.  Marin is home to the Headlands, Mt. Tamalpais, Angel Island, Sausalito houseboats, Tomales Bay, Point Reyes, Stinson Beach, mountain biking conception, scores of famous musicians, San Quentin Prison, Muir Woods and the best public schools in California.

Located on the other end of the GG Bridge from San Francisco, Marin is a peninsula between the coastline of the Pacific Ocean and the waters of the SF Bay.  The Sleeping Maiden (Mt Tam) is 2574 feet tall and provides the character of Marin.  Nature is radically protected in this County and the environmental standard is higher than anywhere else, possibly in the World.
